MINUTES

PRESENT

CALL TO ORDER

Meeting called to order by Chairman Jim Gilchrist at 6:15 p.m.


REVIEW ARNA CONFERENCE; THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 25TH

Jim thanked all the ARNA Steering Committee meeting members for their outstanding work at the conference. Discussion followed regarding if ARNA goals were met. Dennis Cain, Randy Alton, Clifford Lanham, and Phyllis Marcussio felt the District 17 Legislative team came away feeling Rockville is a unified City. Arthur Goldberg suggested HOA/Civic leaders might consider including information regarding the ARNA Conference in their respective newsletter.

ARNA Summary: David Hill will post a summary of the September 25th Conference on the ARNA web site. HOA/Civic leaders are encouraged to disseminate information and urge citizens to contact the District 17 team if so inclined.

Conference Attendance: Telly Whitfield discussed the number of Civic/HOA that attended the conference. Although well attended, ARNA would like to continue to involve all of our HOA/Civic Associations.

FOLLOW-UP:
ARNA will follow-up with the District 17 team. Jim Gilchrist to draft a Thank you letter to the District 17 team.


ARNA Future Calendar

Jim Gilchrist brought up some possible ideas/suggestions for our February Conference.


END OF YEAR MEETINGS

ARNA meeting date to move for next 2 months due to Holidays

Montgomery County Civic Federation

ARNA received an invitation to join the Montgomery County Civic Federation. The Steering Committee tabled the idea of joining the Montgomery County Civic Federation at this time.
