Tower-Dawson LLC proposed and planned an office building and energy trading center for their South Gateway site (SW of Wootton Pkwy. and Tower Oaks Blvd. intersection) to be occupied by PG&E National Energy Group.
While this plan was approved in 2001, PG&E put the project hold due to financial problems arising in their California energy crisis also in 2001. While PG&E is making no decision to move forward a this time,
Tower-Dawson LLC is renewing the plan approval to preserve their option to do so or for another user to occupy the site.

October 2002: Clyde's is open for business.
A new Clyde's Restuarant is proposed in Tower Oaks. The site is just south of Wootton Parkway.
The original CPD Plan included a smaller restaurant at this site (10,000 sq. ft.). Additional density appears in this plan (+15,000 sq. ft.) as a result of an approved density transfer.
While the Assoc. took issue to the details of the density transfer, we support the plan for this restuarant.

The following traffic analysis regarding the impact of traffic generated by the Tower Oaks CPD and particularly the lack of up-to-date traffic study was presented by the Assoc. at the Oct. 16, 2000 at the CPD1985-0001B amendment public hearing.
While the proposal prompting this analysis is now approved, we think this analysis remains essentially accurate and relevant to further planning activities at Tower Oaks specifically and around the neighborhood generally.
