The next Board of Directors meeting is Thursday, June 5, 2008 at  7:30 pm at the clubhouse.. Any resident who wishes to bring a matter to the Board's attention is welcome to participate in the Community Forum held at the beginning of the meeting.

Last Call for NMC Directory Updates

 We will be publishing the 2008 New Mark Commons phone directory later in the month. This is the last call for updates before we go to the printer. The NMC Directory is intended to include current NMC residents only. This does not include adult children, grandchildren and other relatives who do not live in the community.

If you are not in the directory at all, call Jim at 301-340-0288 or send him an email at JHDennyii@comcast.net, with the following information. Your name, address, phone number, names of your children (and their ages, if they are under 16), names of anyone else who resides in your home, and your E-Mail address. Updates must be received no later than May 21^st. Remember, the pool roster is based on the information in the directory. We try to make it as up-to-date as possible, but we need your help.

Volunteer Opportunity in Your Community

 The NMC Board has approved a tentative plan--with photos of suggested locations--for planting some 30 canopy trees to replace those lost over time. We need some volunteers to make the fall planting of canopy trees a reality. Please call if you can help do a little research by phone or e-mail and help with possible grant applications available to homeowner associations. One grant takes into consideration volunteer involvement. Other environmentally oriented projects are possible in the future, depending on interest. Please call Linda Huntington at 301 279-2248 to express your interest.
