Welcome to
New Mark Commons
If you have recently moved into New Mark, it
is important that you call or e-mail
our Administrator, Jim Denny (301/340-0288) to give him your name
and phone number. In this way, we can keep our records up to date and
you will be able to use the pool.
New to
Rockville?
• Newcomers to Rockville can receive a great deal of information about
the City and our community by calling our "Welcome Representative",
Irene Grossman at 301/424-9075.
Garbage
Collection & Recycling
• Garbage is picked up in New Mark twice a week - on Monday and
Thursday. In addition, the city of Rockville picks up a number of
recyclables. On Mondays, you may put out newspapers tied with twine or
placed in brown grocery sacks, as well as tin cans, certain plastics,
and unbroken glass if placed in the City's blue recycling bin. (To
receive a bin, call the Public Works Department at 240-314-8568. The
City
will also pick up grass clippings on Monday if they are placed in
biodegradable paper bags or easily emptied rigid containers. Brush and
branches will be picked up on Mondays if cut into three foot lengths
and tied with twine.
House Numbers
• If you need new house numbers, we have large, 4 inch black ones that
can be applied directly to your outside light fixture. These numbers
are extremely legible and more durable than those that can be obtained
at a hardware store. If you would like new house numbers, call Jim at
301/340-0288.
Exterior
Light Fixtures
• We can no longer obtain the covers to the outside light fixtures. If
your cover breaks, you will need to replace the entire fixture. The
replacement fixture is made by Lightolier, #6776. It can be purchased
from the Association (301/340-0288).
Board Meetings
• Board meetings are held the first Thursday of every month at the
Clubhouse at 7:30 P.M. Any resident is welcome to attend. Special
concerns may be voiced at the Community Forum held at the start of each
meeting. To contact board members, click here.
Animal Control
Regulations
• The City of Rockville's Animal Control Regulations prohibit the
following:
1) Animals at large.
2) Animals damaging or soiling property other than that of the owner.
3) Animals making excessive noise.
Any violation of these regulations can result in a dog, cat, or other
animal being impounded. The impoundment fee is $15 plus a boarding fee
of $3.75 per day.
Architectural
Control Regulations
• Please be sure that you are familiar with our Architectural Control Regulations. If
you need a copy of the expanded ACC guidelines, issued in 1992, please
call or e-mail Jim at
340-0288.
