Statement

Thank you for allowing me to serve as your Rockville City Councilman these past ten years.

We have been through a lot together. TOGETHER continues to be the operative word here in Rockville. As Town Center comes together bringing the new library, retail and residential spaces, we can visualize a Rockville where we will be able to literally get together for a great time with our friends and neighbors.

There is still a lot for us to accomplish together. Together with involved volunteer board and commission members, motivated professional staff and informed civic activists we can continue to keep Rockville a wonderful place to be. Rockville is a fantastic collection of neighbors living, loving, working and raising families together. Please allow me to continue listening to your concerns, and advocating for Rockville in the county, in Annapolis and at the regional and national levels. We are in it together.

The issues are many, and include Town Center redevelopment, Fallsgrove, Tower Oaks and King Farm development, traffic and transportation, as well as neighborhood plans, code enforcement and environmental sensitivity. We must work together to solve our problems without creating new problems for ourselves or others. We can and must work together to keep Rockville a well managed, livable city.

Please re-elect Bob Dorsey, to your city council. When you made your decision to come to Rockville, you knew it was a good decision. We are committed to helping you continue to believe in the wisdom of your decision to stay here.
